CDC Diversity Internship Initiative
Our Objective:
To offer an opportunity to someone who would like to make a career as a Casting Director and is from a group that is underrepresented and/or faces barriers to entry into the entertainment industry. This program is open to anyone who is Black, Indigenous, Racialized, LGBTQ2S+, and/or living with disabilities
Deadline to Apply: September 30th, 2022
Internships Available: Two
Duration of Placement: Six weeks (to be completed between October-November 2022)
Stipend: $3600 each
Eligibility:

Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person on whom refugee status has been conferred

Must be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/ territorial legislation and regulations

Cannot be an employee or relative of any CDC member
Selection Process:

The CDC executive will evaluate the applications on their merit and select the finalists

Each finalist will be interviewed up to two times, virtually, by the CDC executive and the mentor Casting Director in August, 2022.

All finalists’ names will be made available to any CDC members who request them for hiring purposes, for possible short-term contracts in the future.
